Cave Tab is now called Civica
Civica, a market leader in specialist systems and business process services that help organisations to achieve a more cost-efficient way of working, has announced a new identity for group company Cave Tab with the launch of Civica Records Management.
The new business unit builds on Civica’s integration of leading document and records management specialist Cave Tab, acquired by the Group in April 2011, since when it has benefited from operating within the Group.
Civica Records Management is a leading supplier to customers across the public sector, in local and central government, social housing, health care, enforcement and defence, together with a large commercial client base. It provides a comprehensive range of services for both digital and physical records management from outsourced document handling, scanning and post room services to file tracking solutions and archiving.
Combining Cave Tab’s expertise, established across 80 years, with Civica’s wider software, managed services and specialist outsourcing capability, Civica Records Management is well positioned to help customers manage the transition from paper to electronic records to transform customer service operations and achieve significant savings. In particular, the Electronic Post Room service, integrated with Civica’s market-leading workflow and document management software, offers the potential to save as much as 40% of inbound processing costs. These market-leading capabilities are attracting growing interest from organisations needing to manage a high volume of customer interactions while spending less in doing so.
The new identity for Cave Tab comes as the company strengthens its market position. Recent contract wins that add to its extensive customer base include NHS Professionals, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and Thrive Homes as well as the successful deployment of the FileTrail tracking and management system for the British Library.
Steve Shakespeare, managing director for managed services at Civica, said: “The integration of Cave Tab and the launch of Civica Records Management provides a focus for records- and document-based business process services across a wide customer base. We are committed to building on the excellent track record established by Cave Tab, to respond to a growing customer need to drive out operational costs in line with changing budget and service priorities.”
Ian Keers, managing director of Civica Records Management, said: “We have been working to accelerate product and service initiatives with the support and expertise of the wider Civica Group. Our customers are facing significant service and financial pressures, and by bringing to bear specialist business process expertise and experience, we look forward to helping them respond to these challenges.”
