As an experienced systems integrator, Civica provide a range of Smart Building systems serviced through portal technology so data is entered once but used many times.
Depending on their individual requirements, schools can choose from a smart card or biometric solution - both of which work seamlessly and effectively. In order to cater for an individual schools’ requirements, Civica deploy a central authentication database to support the schools' chosen authentication management device.
The Management Information System (MIS) exports an initial list of users to the identity store. Typically, this includes the user’s name and a unique identifier which is meaningful to all partners such as the MIS ID. Through a registration process, agreed with each school, users then record their biometric identifiers, e.g. finger scan, for it to be mapped against their identity and held in the identity store, which becomes the central repository for all e-Systems integration. Card information can also be mapped into the identity store.
