Construction Industry Tax Online Returns
Since April 2007, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Contractors have been able to file CIS Monthly Returns over the internet using the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) CIS Online service. Details of this service are on the HMRC web site at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/new-cis/cis-online-services-faqs.htm.
Civica Financials now provides an automated process to facilitate this, which has gained HMRC recognition and is listed on the HMRC website.
In the Creditors Reporting module is the standard Report Master, CIS Reports, which must initially be used to report on the information for the CIS Monthly Return. Once this has been run for the required month and checked, a new Creditors Report Master is supplied, called CIS Monthly Returns Submission. This is used to make the submission over the internet.
