West Yorkshire Pension Fund drives efficiency with award-winning pensions administration system from Civica
West Yorkshire Pension Fund has awarded Civica, a market leader in specialist systems and business process services, a contract to provide its Universal Pensions Manager system to enhance administrative efficiency, document management and reporting to members. The West Yorkshire Pension Fund manages pensions for the county’s five authorities.
Civica’s highly configurable Universal Pensions Manager (UPM) platform enables pensions administration teams to simplify the management of defined benefit, defined contribution, CARE and hybrid pension schemes. It incorporates electronic document management (EDM) and workflow for business process improvement that delivers streamlined operations with greater productivity, enhanced service leads and reduced potential for errors.
The West Yorkshire Pension Fund’s new UPM system is scheduled to go live in March. As well as providing an integrated platform to drive efficiency, the product will enable the fund’s administration team to undertake software development to drive service innovations and provide better reporting for its customers.
Jon Gibbs, product manager at Civica Pensions said: “Universal Pensions Manager is a proven, efficient platform that allows funds to streamline their back office processes and develop their service capabilities while meeting the heavier reporting demands of the online age. Providing a better overall service to customers and scheme members whilst reducing processing errors and inefficiencies is a critical requirement for pension funds.”
