Confidential File Destruction Service

The Data Protection Act 1998 requires organisations to destroy confidential documents that are no longer necessary. Ignoring this law will lead to prosecution. In the last five years, 90% of all companies prosecuted under the Data Protection Act by the Data Protection Registrar were found guilty.

Many companies ask us to scan their records and destroy the hard copy simply to save storage space. Clients use our Document Destruction Service because it is extremely cost-effective and eliminates the headache of finding storage for, transporting and handling large volumes of paper and waiting around for multiple service suppliers.

Civica Records Management will collect your documents, take them to our free of charge storage facility where they will be kept for up to two months to allow plenty of time to correct any document selection dicrepancies. After the storage period, your documents are destroyed on our premises in our industrial shredder, this whole process is witnessed and you recieve an authorised Certificate of Destruction.
