Advancing learning and teaching through effective ICT planning
Used appropriately, technology can:
- Improve student engagement
- Raise standards and improve learning
- Realise cost benefits and streamline administrative functions
- Teach appropriate technology skills required in the workplace
- Support teaching staff to collaborate and share on teaching resources
- Enhance communication between school, teachers, students and staff
Is your IT doing this for you? If not, do you know why and how to fix it?
Civica’s DigiPlan is a strategic planning tool which takes you through the Naace Self Review Framework (SRF), but goes a step further. With a dedicated E Learning Consultant (all ex teachers) your school will be taken through a catalogue of exploration activities to understand where you are today.
Every school is different so the DigiPlan is designed to be flexible. If you feel that the full Naace SRF is too much for you, we can take a simpler, alternative route that may be more appropriate for your school.
By identifying the challenges you need to overcome, the DigiPlan then produces a very practical list of actions that your school can take to make better use of your available IT to make an impact on learning outcomes, school management and budget management.
Your ELC will then support the implementation of this action plan and monitor the effectiveness to ensure that your school really feels the impact.
Civica is a Naacemark Service Provider (NMSP) for IT and Learning; qualified to guide schools through the Naace Self-review Framework .
As an ex SLT teacher, I could see how schools would benefit from an independent ICT audit. DigiPlan has been designed to assess your current approach to ICT, where your challenges lie and what you can do to overcome them. The ultimate goal is to identify
