Spydus Self Service
Providing innovative and cost-effective self-service solutions...
Rising customer expectations and a requirement to achieve more with less demands innovative and cost-effective self-service solutions. And, with more than 27 years experience, Civica has played a fundamental role in helping to transform libraries through the delivery of online and self service services.
Suitable for all libraries, large and small, regional and metropolitan, Civica offer a range of state-of-the-art interactive touch screen, transactional and presentation kiosks for POs (point of sale), public Internet access and information display. With a clean, user friendly interface patrons can quickly and easily search an entire library at the touch of a button. The solution also includes social networking functionality.
Spydus Self Service integrates with Civica's LMS (Library Management Solution), Spydus to automate repetitive, labour intensive tasks such as checkout so librarians can take a proactive and personalised approach to customer service. Librarians also benefit from improved efficiency, shorter queues and enhanced item security. In contrast, customers benefit from speed and privacy at checkout.
Our RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology reads information from an RFID tag without requiring any specific orientation and has the capacity to read multiple, stacked items. Libraries also benefit from the convenience of enhanced security and inventory control functions.
An affordable, easy to implement solution, Spydus Self Service stations can be set up anywhere, either wall or column mounted.
