Rotherham MBC uses APP Dashboard to help drive efficiencies across its Community Protection and Business Regulation services
With an increased need to prioritise staff time on the activities that gave their service the best possible outcomes, Rotherham MBC have implemented a new Dashboard that presents information to users and management in a way that previous reporting could not. System users at Rotherham had always found the integrated reporting within APP to be a real benefit to management but needed to be able to go further in terms of interacting with the information held in their database.
Team managers wanted to delve deeper into their system data and align their departmental KPI’s with specific Authority business objectives. With staff spending more time ‘mobile’ or working from home the services also needed more control and visibility of tasks and activities so that they could plan better . They believed that more effective use of detailed management information and more process automation would help them to achieve operational efficiencies, reduce waste in processes and, ultimately, provide the public with a better service using a limited resource under financial pressure.
